How Safe Are Dog Parks?
As most dog owners know, Dog Parks are very popular for owners to exercise and socialize their dogs with the rest of the world. However, one question comes into mind... How safe are they?....... You are aware of some of the dangers that are associated with dog parks....correct? If not, think about it for a minute.... dogs tend to get into a lot of things we would be afraid to even touch, some obvious dog haters have been known to put meat laced with poison in dog parks. How careful are you when bringing your dog into these parks? Although we all want the best for our pets, unfortunately the unexpected will happen. If you are watching your dog and could see an upcoming danger, a well trained dog while running loose in an
uncontrolled environment is never a good thing but train
your dog to come when called, to lay down etc... could someday save their lives and prevent many a tragedy waiting to happen. Imagine the horror of watching your dog getting hit by a passing individual on a bike or suddenly being snatched by
a dog napper yards from were you are sitting or worst..an unforseen accident just waiting to happen. Ooohh, may heaven forbid that from ever ocurring. A lot of tragedies can be prevented if all dog owners take the time to train their dog in basic obedience. Yes it is a lot of work to train a dog but..... aren’t they worth it?
